Google adwords fraude ..spoofing credit card gegevens

Volgend bericht belande in één van mijn mailboxen

Our system was unable to process a payment for your outstanding Google AdWords account balance using your primary credit card. For the time being, your account is still open, and your ads are still running. However, we require you to update the payment information in your AdWords account very soon in order to ensure continued ad serving.
Please update your credit card information in order to trigger our billing system to try processing your payment again. If you plan to use the same credit card(s), please use the ‘Retry Card’ button on the Billing Preferences page of your account. Otherwise, please follow the steps below to update the information in your AdWords account.
1. Log in to your AdWords account at: http://adwords.google.com
2. Click the ‘My Account’ tab.
3. Click ‘Billing Preferences’ link.
4. Click Edit next to the appropriate ‘Payment Details’ section.
5. Enter your new or updated payment information.
6. Click ‘Save Changes’ when you have finished.
In the future, you may wish to use a back up credit card in order to help ensure continuous delivery of your ads. You can add a back up credit card by visiting your Billing Preferences page or visit the AdWords Help Centre for more.
Tip: You can review the status of your billing on the Billing Summary page, under the ‘My Account’ tab. If a payment has been declined, click ‘Payment Declined’ beside the line item to review information for that particular payment. Once your payment has been processed successfully, you can view and print an invoice from your Billing Summary page.

Het linkje met als ankertekst http://adwords.google.com heeft bij nader inzien een url met een .ru extensie.
Het betreft dus een poging om via een phishing website aan je creditcard gegevens te geraken. In mijn geval was het nogal vreemd omdat ik geen Adwords account heb, en zeker niet op via het mailadres waar deze mail arriveerde.
De mail is goed opgesteld, buiten de “niet-zichtbare” .ru URL heeft het alleen officiëel lijkende headers en teksten. Ik was zelf in zoverre bedot dat ik op de echte support website een klacht had ingediend tegen deze onrechtmatige vordering. De officiële supportlink staat dan ook vermeld in de frauduleuze mail, weliswaar niet in klikbare vorm.
Let ook op de vraag om de gegevens van een backup credit card in te vullen, zogezegd om bovenstaande problemen in de toekomst te vermijden.

Heb een hele tijd geleden een gelijkaardige mail ontvangen. Toen was het een Chinese phishing website, ook stond de mail vol met typfouten.
Vandaag ook binnen gehad..maar zelfs als je op de link klikt kan er weinig verkeerd lopen want je krijgt een rode box te zien met :
Gerapporteerde webvervalsing!
Dan zou er toch al eens een lichtje moeten gaan branden

Die waarschuwing krijgen enkel firefox gebruikers te zien… Onwetende internet explorer mensen krijgen volgens mij direct de valse site te zien, of niet?
Ik heb één keer op de link geklikt en kreeg een timeout fout, dus de “site” zelf heb nooit gezien. De mail is trouwens al 2 maal in mijn box beland.
Inderdaad heb hem ook binnen gekregen
maarja, niks aan het handje want zoals gezegt, Gerapporteerde webvervalsing!
Zo werkt internet zoals het moet werken!
